Russell Inman

Russell Lee Inman, age 93, of Blue Ridge, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019, in Blue Ridge. Mr. Inman was born November 16, 1926, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Samuel Martin Inman and Florence Isabella Moore Inman. He worked in Sales Management at Stockham Valves and Fittings. He was a member of Blue Ridge United Methodist Church and served in the United States Army Air Corps. Mr. Inman was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Lou Estes.

He is survived by three daughters, Beth Ellen Inman of Morganton, Nancy Lea Evick of Tucker, Georgia and Martha Jane Inman of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a sister, Florence Isabella Scott of Birmingham; and three grandchildren, Katherine Rae Wise, Sarah Elizabeth Kody and Nathaniel Edward Erick.

Memorial services will be held Friday, December 20, 2019, at 2 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Feed Fannin at 762 Ada Street, Blue Ridge.
