Randy Abercrombie

Randy H. Abercrombie, 64, of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at his home.

Randy was born September 15, 1957, in Blue Ridge, to James Abercrombie and Lucretia Abercrombie.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Abercrombie; mother, Lucretia Abercrombie; and sister, Goldie Thomas.

He is survived by his son, Mark (Carrie) Abercrombie; daughter, Roxanne (Martin) Baird; son, Heath (Tammy) Abercrombie; brothers, Bobby Joe (Eula Mae Elrod) Abercrombie and Bo (Loretta) Abercrombie; sister, Kathy (Carrol) Smith.  Randy is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Calvary Temple Baptist Church in Morganton.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 20, 2022, at  2 p.m., at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Freddy Thomas officiating. Music was provided by The Spiritual Echoes. Interment followed in the New Hope Church Cemetery. Pallbearers included: Bill Wilson, Jerry Wilson, Jacob Abercrombie, Jeremiah Smith, David Johnson, and Jim Phelps. Honorary Pallbearers were David Baldwin, Josh Smith and Jason Farner.

The family received friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Thursday, May 19, 2022,  from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
