Ora Townson

Ora Lee Townson, age 78, of Murphy, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020. She was born February 12, 1941, in Andrews, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Townson; daughter, Annette Townson; and mother, Frances Louise Haney. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Richard Grzelewski; son, Ricky Townson; grandchildren, Misty Beavers, Brandon Beavers and Bryson Cole; and great-grandchildren, Makaylee Clore, Waylon Beavers and Jayle Beavers. 

Graveside services were conducted Thursday, February 13, 2020, from the Mount Zion Baptist Church cemetery in Blairsville with the Rev. Nathan Chancey officiating. Ricky Townson, Richard Grzelewski, Brandon Beavers and Robbie Barfield served as pallbearers. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
