Mitchell Lee Patterson, age 71, of Epworth passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born in Ducktown, Tennessee on April 27, 1948 to the late Rome Cleveland Patterson and Dora Carr Patterson. Mitchell has always been a sawmill operator and logger.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Doyle and Judy Patterson of Epworth and Danny and Brandi Patterson of Epworth; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Danny Juarez of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Corey Dixon, Hunter Patterson, Tori Dixon, Isaac Broughton, Asher Patterson, Jesse Patterson, Josh Patterson, Lacey Towe and Colton Patterson; two great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music was by Brad Kaylor. Interment followed in the Colwell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Corey Dixon, Hunter Patterson, Isaac Broughton, Asher Patterson, Jesse Patterson, Josh Patterson and Colton Patterson.
