Mrs. Louise Beatrice Sparks, age 94, of Blue Ridge, passed away February 13, 2020, in  Cameron Hall in Canton, Georgia. Born at her residence February 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Henry Parker and Alma Celia Williams Phillips. Mrs. Sparks was a devoted member of the Barnes Chapel Baptist Church. She loved camping and being outdoors, and loved being with her family. She previously worked for Harbor Road in Blue Ridge. Her husband, Mr. Cleaston Sparks, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Ray and Cathy Sparks of Dawsonville, Georgia, Larry and Cris Sparks of Blue Ridge and Sherry Sparks and Jamey Nicholson of Delano, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Joyce Phillips of McCaysville; sisters, Tommy Bennett and Nita Patterson; grandchildren, Shelly and Tony Todd, Wesley Sparks, Kerri Helm, Stephanie and Garrett Owens, Drew Sparks and Anna Sparks; great-grandchildren, Audrey Sparks, Peyton Sparks, Lily Helm and Kate Helm; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, February 17, 2020, from the Akins Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Harold Weeks officiating. Interment followed in the Damascus Baptist Church with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Wesley Sparks, Drew Sparks, Tony Todd, Jerry Pack, Julio Ruiz and Speck Callihan.
