Louise Henry

Louise Pickelsimer Henry, age 92, of Mineral Bluff, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at home in Mineral Bluff.

Louise was born November 26, 1929, in the Hurst Community to the late Wilburn and Iver Pickelsimer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Paul “J.P.” Henry, and daughter, Maryanne Henry.

Louise had been a longtime, active member of Toccoa Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, painting, bird watching, gardening, and working with her flowers.

Survivors include her sons, James  “Jim”  Henry and Richard Henry; daughter-in-law, Lynne Henry; sisters, Mary Parks and Thelma McVey; grandchildren, Jamie (Logan) Parker, Julie (Jason) Thompson, Elizabeth (Mike) Peters,  Caleb Henry, and Jennifer Henry; great-granddaughter Maire Townson.

A Funeral Service was held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 11 a.m. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge with the Rev. Jimmy Ritter and the Rev. Danny Collis officiating.

The family received friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Friday, November 18, 2022,  from 5 p.m. until  8 p.m.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearers; Joshua Jenkins, Jonathan Jenkins, Steve Jones, Bennie Crawford, Shawn Carver, and Jason Atkins.

Interment followed in Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery.
