Lola Patterson Haren, age 88, a long term resident of Epworth, passed away February 4, 2020, in the North Georgia Assisted Living in Dawsonville, Georgia. Born in the community of Oasis, Georgia, in Fannin County, she was the daughter of the late Leander Jefferson and Mamie Ritchie Patterson. She was a retired educator from the Fannin County School System. Lola was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church and the National Educator Association. She loved spending time with her family, especially her favorite granddaughter, time on the family farm, cooking and especially traveling.
Her siblings were Lester Clyde Patterson, Ernest Jefferson Patterson, Jessie Roy (Bill) Patterson, Herbert Roland Patterson, James Luke (Vic) Patterson and Gladys Patterson Dunn, all of whom have preceded her in death. Also her son, Grady Haren precedes her in death.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Reese N. and Beth Haren of Cumming, Georgia, and Keith Haren of Marietta, Georgia; and one granddaughter, Sydney Haren also of Cumming.
Memorial services were conducted Saturday, February 15, 2020, from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Minister Keith Ritchie officiating.
