Kermit Dennis Totherow, 83, of Hemptown, Georgia, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at his home.

Kermit was born September 7, 1938, in Hemptown, to the late Floyd Totherow and the late Flora Rhodes Totherow.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Velvie Totherow, Irene Totherow, Della Totherow, Lura Rogers, and Vellamae Bryson.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Glenda Sellers Totherow; daughters, Sheri (Dennis) Holcomb, Karen (Jeremiah) Few, and Deidre (Erik) Anuzis; and grandchildren, Elisha Totherow, Emily Hughes, Adam Hughes, Phebe Smith, and Noah Smith.

He dearly loved his family and his church, Liberty Hill. He enjoyed family trips, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. His favorite pastime included spending time with the love of his life, his wife Glenda. He retired from the Fannin County Road Department after 27 years of service.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene Ware officiating. Music was provided by Teresa Ross. He lay in state at Liberty Hill Church Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 11:00 am.

Interment followed in the Liberty Hill Cemetery.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearers; Adam Hughes, Noah Smith, Dennis Holcomb, Jeremiah Few, Erik Anuzis, and Matthew Smith.

The family received friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday, July 5, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
