Kay Frances Corn, age 90, of Mineral Bluff, passed away May 30, 2022, in Johns Creek, Georgia.

She was a loving wife, mother,grandmother and sister. Kay was a longtime member of the World Harvest Church North where she had served as Intercessor for a number of years. In previous years, she worked for Levi Strauss and later retired from Goldkist in Ellijay, Georgia. She loved working in her yard with flowers and gardening and surely wasn’t afraid to dig ditches if needed. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family whether that included cookouts, vacations and anything that allowed them to be together.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Claude B. and Mary Etta Curtis Bell; husband, Buell Jackson “B.J.” Corn; children and one son-in-law, Judy and Ranel McClure, Jimmy Bell, Lynn Corn, Roger Corn and Louise Corn; siblings, Ted Messer, Ellwise Panter, June Bell, Bill Bell, Jean Linderman, Billy and Buddy Bell and Joann Bell.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Anne and Lee Craymer, of Ellijay, Georgia, Glenda Corn, of Roswell, Georgia, Ricky and Debbie Corn, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Cookie Fussell and Vickie and Tony Rhodes, all of Mineral Bluff; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Blake Loudermilk, of Turtletown; grandchildren and their spouses, Cindy and Mark West, Rodney and Kathy Thurman, Anthony Rhodes and Jennifer Helton, Jason and Joanna Rhodes, Stacy Rhodes, Mindy and Jeremiah Clore, Chris Corn, Adam and Yuri Corn, Robbie and Margaret Corn, Wesley Corn, Cheryl Corn, Patty Corn and Jimmy Bell; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Reba McClure, of Blue Ridge.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 2 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Pastor Asa Dockery officiating. Music was provided by Lydia Long and Martha Smith.

Interment followed in the Hot House Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Rodney Thurman, Anthony Rhodes, Jason Rhodes, Adam Corn, Robbie Corn and Brady West. Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Chris Corn, Jeremiah Clore, Mark West, Dennis Gorges, Jake Rhodes, Austin Rhodes, and Tyler Corn. Memorial contributions may be made to the World Harvest Church North at P.O. Box 968 Morganton, Georgia 30560.
