John Daniel Miller, age 71, of Pickens County, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. He was born May 17, 1948, to Robert Crusaw and Helen Marie Miller in Blue Ridge. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam.
John is survived by his wife, Mikki Miller of Jasper, Georgia; son, Christopher Shane Miller of La Grange, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Seana Miller Thompson and Charles Thompson of Ball Ground, Georgia and Sharri Charlecia Miller Twyman of Jasper; grandchildren, Gretchen Rasco, Reuben Ronald and Macey Cooper Burnley, Lindsey Grace Thompson, Josie Caroline Thompson and Troy Wayde Twyman; brother and sister-in-law, Donald Edgar and Carol Miller of Blue Ridge; sister, Cathie Miller Hing of Jasper; and sister and brother-in-law, Marjie Miller and Carter Devereaux of Blue Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Robert Crusaw Miller and Helen Marie Burnette Miller.
A celebration of his life was held Sunday, February 2, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration in honor of Mr. Miller.
