Joanne Barfield

Mrs. Joanne Carter Barfield, passed away July 30, 2022.

The funeral service will be determined at a later date and will be announced by Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home.

Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Hylas Carter; her husband, Norman Kelly Barfield; and her son, David Michael Barfield.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia “Trish” Barfield; her grandson, Michael Barfield; and her great-grandchildren, Carter and Chloe Barfield. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Joanne was a Cobb County native, moved to Blue Ridge after Norman retired, then returned to Cobb County in 2018. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta.

She was loved by many old friends and many special new friends since her move back to Cobb County.
