Jamie Scott Moore, age 44, of Mineral Bluff, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at his home in the mountains.

Jamie was born in Gainesville, Georgia, July 6, 1977, to his parents Kenny and Cathy Moore. He grew up in Dawsonville, Georgia, and moved to the mountains of North Georgia with his wife and son in December of 2020.

Jamie was a man of many talents. He was a salesman by trade and worked for InspectAll in the later years of his life; a job he adored and felt like he had found his calling in.

He had so many hobbies and interests. He was an artist and a craftsman. Most every member of his family has something he drew or painted on the walls of their homes. He loved fast cars and would pet any dog that got near him. He liked building things, from furniture to puzzles and model cars. There wasn’t anything Jamie couldn’t fix or create if he put his mind to it. He had just taken up photography and would often find a nearby waterfall or beautiful view to capture. He enjoyed going on little adventures with his wife, playing with his dog and spending time with his family. Jamie has a huge close-knit family and always looked forward to the holiday parties and gatherings. He was very competitive and loved all varieties of games, like ping pong and corn hole and poker. He was convinced that poker was more than just a game of luck and could often be heard saying that “Luck is where skill meets opportunity.” And if you spent any time with Jamie at all, he would find the chance to teach you to play ping pong with him.

Jamie was a funny guy who made everyone around him laugh. He was a constant jokester and the life of any party. Jamie was both charming and tough and had an answer for anything, even if he had to make it up. And, as he mentions in his professional resume, he was very attractive.

Survivors include his wife, Bettina Moore; his son, Dawson Hipp; his favorite furry companion, Batman; his parents, Kenny and Cathy Moore, of Dawsonville, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law Paige and Adam Jones; and niece and nephew, Lydian and Blake Jones, of Columbus, Georgia. Jamie also leaves behind a huge extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends that loved him dearly. He was incredibly close with all of his family and will be missed.

Memorial services were conducted Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 4 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with his cousin, Rev. Nate Galloway, officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the service hour of 4 p.m.
