James Searcy

James Edgar Searcy, age 94, of Morganton, passed away March 3, 2022, in Blue Ridge.

Mr. Searcy was born May 3, 1927, in Cherry Log, to the late Alvin Edgar Searcy and the late Maimie Lee Searcy. A member of Blue Ridge Church of Christ, he was preceded in death by his, son, Zachary Searcy. Mr. Searcy was a member of the Honor Guard and a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Searcy; sons, Jonathan (Cynthia) Searcy and Daniel (Alla) Searcy; daughters, Judy Quinton, Cynthia (Vincent) Costanzo and Susan (Jeff) Meier; brother, Bill (Cathy) Searcy; grandchildren, Seth Crawford, Benjiman (Mona) Crawford, Joseph Meier, Justin (Hemi) Meier, Heather Meier, Hannah (Zach) Loetscher, Christy (James) Weaver, Megan (Nolan) Murray, Luke (Jessica) Searcy, Cassie Searcy, Andrew Gibson, Sara Searcy and Lilly Searcy; and great-grandchildren, Elias Searcy, Aliyah Searcy, Leon Searcy, Cianna Searcy, Olivia Weaver, Jacob Weaver, Nathaniel Weaver, Harrison Crawford, Emmett “Indy” Crawford and Hana Meier.

A memorial service was held Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Blue Ridge Church of Christ at 4 p.m. Military Honors were provided by The North Georgia Honor Guard.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, of Blue Ridge.
