James Moore

Mr. James R. Moore, age 84, of Blue Ridge, passed away February 24, 2022, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

Mr. Moore was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, October 8, 1937. He graduated from Rule High School in Knoxville and then enjoyed a lengthy career as an over-the-road truck driver where he retired from Genuine Parts Company. He loved his time spent on woodworking and crafting the perfect looking lawn. Most of all, he enjoyed his time with family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Odie Devon Moore and Mary Martha Dunn Moore; brothers, Charles and Bill; and sisters, Alma and Julie.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Moore; daughters, Jami Dean (Greg) and Kristyl Tatum; sons, Colby Moore (Harriett) and Jerome Craig; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elsie Moore.

A celebration of James’ life will be scheduled soon.
