James Goode

James Edward Goode, age 81, of Turtletown, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Goode was born in Detroit, Michigan, November 10, 1940. He worked for Shaw Industries for a number of years and was a belonged to the Masons in Lavonia, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Gourtney Goode; and his mother, Miami Florida Goode.

He is survived by his daughter, Annette Brendle, of Turtletown; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Tammy Goode, of Athens, Tennessee; grandchildren, James (Jamie) Payne, of Paris, Tennessee, and Mary Payne, of Copperhill; great-grandchild, Brianna Walker and Ethan Payne; great-great-grandchildren, Kadence Payne and Sergio Flores III; and special friends, James and Christine Lackey and Terry Baliles.

Mr. Goode’s wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
