Inez Porter

Mrs. Inez Magadaline Kyle Porter, age 91, of Blue Ridge, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019. She was born in Cherry Log, August 31, 1928, to the late Lester Kyle and Bertha Ledford Kyle. She was a member of Blue Ridge Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Frank Porter; and brother, Mac Kyle. 

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Annette and Gerald Long of Blue Ridge, Vickie and Terry Stanley of Blue Ridge and Billy and Sheila Porter of Epworth; grandchildren, Heather Long, Ashley Jacobson, Raven Porter, Christy Shull and Presley Porter; great-grandchildren, Madeleine Shull, Olivia Shull, Deacon Shull, Alexandra Shull, Caroline Jacobson and Leif Jacobson; sister, Marie Gooch of Kennesaw; and brothers, Jack Kyle of Woodstock, Georgia, Franklin Kyle of Cleveland, Tennessee and James Kyle of Cleveland. 

Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 16, 2019, from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Adam Shull officiating. Congregational music was led by Bob Pugh.

Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park with Deacon Shull, Brian Jacobson, Dr. Gerald Griggs, James Fitts, Bruce Pack and Freddy Long serving as pallbearers.
