Kenneth Lee “Greasy” Stuart Sr., age 89, of Copperhill, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022.

He was born June 23, 1932, to the late William Clyde Stuart and the late Margie Keeton Stuart. Mr. Stuart was a member of Union Baptist Church and McCaysville Masonic Lodge #423 F&AM. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to travel. He started K & S Tank Lines in 1969 and operated the company until his retirement. Greasy was preceded in death by his spouse, Betty Ruth Johnson Stuart; Mary Etta Ryder; son, Sam Culberson; daughter, Sherri Cody; brothers, Hoyt Stuart, Rex Stuart and Jim Stuart; and sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Billie Jean Cearley.

Survivors include Gale Allen; his children, Connie Cooper (Steve Cooper), Joann Talley (Tom Talley), Kenneth Stuart Jr. (Patsy Stuart), Janie Holder (David Holder), Shelly Bishop (Lane Bishop), Scott Stuart (Nancy Stuart), Keith Culberson (Dale Culberson), Janet Hancock and Roger Culberson (Donna Culberson); his sisters, Diane Walker (Mickey Walker), Deana Cook (Steve Cook) and Meda Hunter; his brothers, Clyde David “Bob” Stuart (Libby Stuart) and Robbie Stuart (Betty Stuart); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 2 p.m from the McCaysville Church of God with Rev. Kenneth Montgomery and Rev. Warren Golden officiating. Music was provided by Ann Prince, Cortney Stuart, and JoAnn Truelove. Eulogy was provided by Kenneth Lee Stuart III. Masonic graveside rites were conducted by the McCaysville Masonic Lodge #423 F&AM.

Interment followed in the Crestlawn Cemetery with Masons serving as pallbearers.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home, of McCaysville.
