Denny Tanner

Mr. Denny Ray Tanner age 65, of Old Skeenah Gap Road Suches, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Sunday, July 3, 2022, at  his home following an extended illness.

Mr. Tanner was born February 28, 1957, in Blue Ridge, to the late Hoyt Tanner and the late Della Duckworth Tanner. Denny was a lifelong resident of Union and Fannin counties. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather and was a friend to many. Denny was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Tanner are his loving wife and best friend of 46 years, Debby Bruce Tanner of Suches; two sons and daughters in law, Steven and Tara Tanner of Blairsville, Jason and Stefanie Tanner of Blairsville; one daughter and son in law, Jodi and Roger Grimes of Suches; two brothers and sisters in law, Wayne and Edith Tanner, David and Shirley Tanner; one sister and brother in law, Joan and Johnny Carroll, all of Blairsville; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Denny’s Life was held Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 2 p.m. from the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Special music was presented by By His Grace.

The family met with friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1p.m. until 2 p.m.

Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
