Clyde William Woody, 78, of Suches, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Clyde was born February 4, 1944, in Ellijay, to Emerson Woody and Jessie Davenport Woody.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emerson Woody; mother, Jessie Woody; brother, C.W., Woody, and sister-in-law, Pat Woody.

He is survived by his wife Jeannine of 40 years; daughters, Angie (Jason) Booker and Regina (Michael) Harper; grandchildren, Addison Booker, Emerson Booker, Grayson Harper, Anna Kate Booker, Kayden Harper, and Evan Booker. Clyde is also survived by siblings, Pauline (Solan) Pless, Randall Woody, Howard (Marie) Woody, and sister-in-law, Linda Woody.

Clyde dearly loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed farming, fishing, wood-working and going to the Farmers Market. Clyde was known for his strong work ethic, tender giving heart, and sweet smile.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 1, 2022,  at 2 p.m. at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Garrett officiating.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearers; Robert Woody, Daniel Murphy, Mickey Cummings, Arnold Watkins, Ray Watkins, and Dusty Green.

The family received friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
