Carol Hyatt

Carol Dean Hyatt, age 76, of Copperhill, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022.

She was born June 17, 1946 in Copperhill to the late Olen Brown and Viola Blankenship Brown. Carol worked for many years, alongside her beloved husband Roger, in the restaurant industry as owner and operator of Roger and Carol’s Quick Burger in Copperhill. She was well known for her famous slaw and quick burgers. Carol made everyone feel like family at the restaurant.

She was a member of Pantertown Church of God of Prophecy where she was well-known as a prayer warrior by all of her friends and family. Carol also loved spending time with her family which she loved fiercely.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, the Rev. Roger Hyatt; and sibling, Carson Brown.

Carol is survived by her children, Brad (Treva) Hyatt, of Turtletown, Rodney (Heidi) Hyatt, of Copperhill, and David (Rhonda) Hyatt, of Copperhill; grandchildren, Andrew (Lindsey) Hyatt, Amanda (Rodney Ross) Hyatt, Adam Hyatt, Brittany Hyatt, Brianna (Jordan) Farmer, Nathan (Kaley) Hyatt, Ashley (Josh) Falls, Chris Hyatt, Caitlyn (Jacob) Bettis and Chase Hyatt; great-grandchildren, Alexis Hyatt, Addison Hyatt, Alivia Hyatt, Cohutta Ross, Kinsley Ross, Hayden Hughes, Danner Hyatt, Neyland Farmer, Carson Rehagen, Cannon Rehagen, Caleb Rehagen and Tora Bettis; brother, James Brown, of Turtletown; sister, Sherry (Doug) Smith, of Turtletown; and best friend, Christine Barker, of Copperhill.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 4 p.m. from the Chapel at Akins-Cobb with the Rev. Brad Hyatt officiating. Music was provided by Eric Smith, Crystal Akins and Sandy Carpenter Schubert.

Interment followed in the Pantertown Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Andrew Hyatt, Adam Hyatt, Chris Hyatt, Chase Hyatt, Nathan Hyatt, Brad Hyatt, David Hyatt and Rodney Hyatt. Honorary pallbearers were Rodney Ross, Jacob Bettis, Hayden Hughes, Danner Hyatt, Neyland Farmer, Cohutta Ross and Jordan Farmer.
