George C. “Brad” Bradbury Jr., of Cherry Log, passed away on October 18, 2019 in Lilburn, Georgia. He was 83.

An internment service of Brad’s ashes will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 24 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Memorial Garden with Rector Victor Morgan officiating. All in the community who knew Brad are encouraged to attend.

Brad was born in Newnan, Georgia. For many years he worked the oil and construction industries in Texas, and natural disaster relief for the Small Business Administration. He also dabbled in creating beautiful lamps out of vases. In the late 1990s, he and his wife retired to the Blue Ridge area. Brad worked as a para-professional at West Fannin Elementary School in the early 2000s before enjoying full retirement in the mountains.

Brad is survived by his wife, Lucy Alderman of Cherry Log; daughter, Paige Kolb; son-in-law, Luke Kolb; and their children, Adam and Sophia, all of Lilburn.

The family wishes to extend its sincerest thanks to the congregation of St. Luke’s for its love of Brad over the years. Also gratitude for the staff at Pruitt Health Blue Ridge and Lilburn for the three years of care they gave to Brad.
