Bobby Hanson Stewart, age 77, of Mineral Bluff, passed away on January 22, 2022, at his home.

He was born in Gilmer County, Georgia, to the late Hanson Robert and Thelma Ruth Beaver Stewart. Bobby served in the United States Marine Corp Reserve. He retired from General Motors at the Lakewood, Georgia plant as a foreman and later worked for a number of years for Lance in Blue Ridge as a grading project manager. He was an avid hunter and worked on old cars. He was also a member of the Pleasant Hill  Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Ware Stewart, of the home; son, Robert Stewart, of Blue Ridge; daughters and sons-in-law, Tenya and Kevin Queen, of Ellijay, Georgia, Lanita and Jeff Kaylor, of Mineral Bluff, and Cindy and David Williams, of Kennesaw, Georgia; grandchildren, Anita Dawn Postell, Matthew Kaylor, Josh Mumpower, Drew Stewart, Tori Panter, MiKayla Queen, Scott Williams, Nicolette Williams and Faith Williams; great-grandchildren, Braylon Postell, Korey Kaylor, Carson Postell, Alayna Kaylor, Sydney Postell, Will Kaylor, Hason Postell, Kain Stewart, Brynlie Stewart and Chyanne Stewart; brother, Mike Stewart, of Blairsville, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Neaomi Pickelsimer, of Morganton, Mary and Curtis Colwell, of Blairsville, Georgia, and Margaret and Richard Folsom, of Woodstock, Georgia; two aunts, Ina Mull, of Morganton, and Sue Beaver of McCaysville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 3 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Chapel with Rev. Paul Adams and Rev. Gerald Payne officiating.  Music was provided by Linda Ware, Ivy Bice, Diana Odom, David Falls and Seth Davis. Military honors were provided by the Marine Corp League.

Interment followed in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: H.A. Hobgood, Kevin Pickelsimer, Matthew Kaylor, Kevin Ware, Luke Colwell and Brent Ware.  The follow gentlemen were selected to serve as honorary pallbearers: Gary Lance, Harold Garland, Wayne Bittner, Emory Martin, Etheridge Ware, Ronnie Ware, David Davenport, Jeff Kaylor and Kevin Queen.
