Bobby Shields

Bobby Joe Shields, age 81, of Mineral Bluff, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Shields was born March 22, 1940, in Culberson, North Carolina, to the late Dennis M. Shields and the late Beulah Stiles Shields.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Faust Shields; sons, Bobby Joe (Tammy) Shields Jr., and Scott (Tonya) Shields; stepsons, Travis (Marie) Mileti and Brian Mileti; stepdaughter, Tami (Brian) Rayburn; brother, Gene (Glenda) Shields; and 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 3 p.m. at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Ware officiating.

Interment followed in New Liberty Cemetery in Mineral Bluff. Pallbearers were his grandchildren.

The family received friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, of Blue Ridge, Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for direct donations in Mr. Shield’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
