Betty Dills

Betty Jane Dills, age 89, of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at her home.

She was born in Fannin County November 6, 1932, to the late Andrew Rogers and Carrie Bearden Rogers. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. Betty worked for many years at Jabaley’s Department Store. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Linda Dills; brothers, J.B. Rogers, W.B. Rogers and Ronnie Rogers; and sister, Patsy Queen.

Betty is survived by her husband of 72 years, G.L. “Sonny” Dills; children, JoAnn (Don) Rackley, Donny Dills and Tim (Jennifer) Dills; grandchildren, Todd Rackley, Jill Rackley, Carrie Menegigian, Sarah Tipton and Hannah Dills; great-grandchildren, Conner Menegigian, Diana Menegigian, Hannah Goldszal, William Tipton, Jacob Tipton, Annalise Rackley and Alexandra Rackley; sisters, Willa Nell Plush, Shirley Chapman and Ruth Ann Patterson; and brother, Jackie Rogers.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 11 a.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Min. Butch Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers were Todd Rackley, William Tipton, David Rogers, Grady Rogers, Jerry Williams and R.E. Vann.
