The Fannin County School System’s fourth annual Back to School Bash will be held this Saturday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the New Gym at Fannin County High School (FCHS).

Mayor says plant upgrades will handle growth

New machinery will allow the Blue Ridge Wastewater Treatment Facility  to “handle any future growth,” said the plant’s superintendent, James Weaver.

An early morning shooting near the McDonald’s restaurant in Ocoee, Tennessee, has left one man dead and another charged with his murder. The victim has been identified as Mickey Lee Goodman, 52. Charged with Second Degree Murder in his death is Jayson A.

Healing Hives needs help to grow

At Doc’s Healing Hives (DHH), veteran Tim Doherty is building an army to fight for America’s veterans. His soldiers are bees. “I knew beekeeping helped me, and therefore I knew it could help others,” Doherty, DHH’s founder, said.
