Election year has officially arrived. The 2020 preparation process has begun and candidates will officially begin qualifying soon.
More than ever before, voters must not turn their backs to the whole process, throw up their hands in disgust and say “what’s the use?” The political climate in Washington, D.C., has brought government to a new low, but ignoring the problems will not help. Sadly, it’s true a good bit of ridiculousness has also found its way to the state and local levels.
But Americans must not become apathetic, even though too many are already. That has been proven by the low voter turnout in far too many recent elections.
Now more than ever the time has come to pay attention and elect leaders who will lead. It’s time to make smart choices and vote. Pay attention to the candidate, not the rhetoric that is digging America deeper into a hole.
If you think taking an active part in the election process is not important, take a look at your children and grandchildren and think again.
