Mr. Ted Andrew Turner Sr., passed away quietly at home in Blue Ridge, December 29, 2021, at the age of 97.

He was born in a clinic at the foot of Lookout Mountain and raised in Alabama. He was a pilot during World War II, stationed at Windover Field, where he assisted scientist with missile technology. Early on, he worked for the City of Miami in the engineering office. Then, for City Service Oil Company as a real estate appraiser.

He leaves a wife, Michelle Turner; and two daughters, Kelly Sulser and Terry Davis, who loved him dearly; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his son Ted Turner Jr. He always said he was a “Lucky Man,” and his family believes that he was.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 17, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. from the Georgia National Cemetery with military honors presented by the United States Air Force.

Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia, is in charge of the arrangements.
