Randall Ross Queen, age 72, of Morganton, passed away at his home Tuesday, November 3, 2020. 

Mr. Queen was born July 29, 1948, in Morganton, to the late Ross Queen and the late Gladys Cearley Queen. Randall was a lifelong resident of Morganton. Along with his wife, Teresa, they operated Loving Road Stop and Go. He was a member of Mineral Bluff Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and was known to all the kids as “Pappy.” 

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Teresa Nichols Queen; son, Chad Queen; sisters, Dolores Campbell, Barbara Davis, and Jannes Taylor; sister-in-law, Robin Cook; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Joanna) Nichols; grandchildren, Jesse Queen and Ethan Queen; and nieces and nephews. 

Graveside services were held Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 2 p.m. from the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery in Blue Ridge, with the Rev. Doug Payne officiating. Music was provided by Amanda Galloway. Pallbearers included Joe Hensley, Seth McClure, Tim Dockery, Chance Watson, Wyatt Nichols and Kevin Garland. Honorary pallbearers were Bryson Thomas, Bill Howard, Ron Brown, Bobby Buchanan, Charlie Collins, Jimmy Hopkins, Jerry Lord and Richard McNalley.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge.
