Ralph Green

Ralph Green, age 77, of Blue Ridge, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at Union General Hospital in Blairsville.

He was born February 20, 1944, in Fannin County, to the late Edgar Green and Hazel Dilbeck Green. Ralph was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church.

He worked for many years with the Department of Transportation. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Angela Ann Setser Green; and siblings, Vernie Green, Dorothy Hyde, and Donnie Green.

Ralph is survived by his children and their spouses, Bobbie and Demetrius Wilson, Dale and Michelle Green, Carrie and Louis Martin, and Julie Barnes; grandchildren, Kery Wilson, Tristan Wilson, Noah Wilson, Chase Green, Chasity Green, Anthony Evans, Justin Evans, Katelin Weaver, Madaline Weaver, Morgan Lariscy, and Payton Barnes; sister, Jean Brown; sisters-in-law, Maxine Haygood and Patricia Green; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11 am from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Green officiating. Music was provided by the New Antioch Baptist Church Choir.

Interment followed in the O’Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Tristan Wilson, Noah Wilson, Anthony Evans, Chase Green, Steve Ledford, and Trey Campbell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Louis Martin and Demetrius Wilson.
