Nolan Reed Queen, 61, of Andrews, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021.

He enjoyed motorcycles, NASCAR, knives and was an eagle collector. Nolan had worked in construction as a steelworker. He was the son of the late Howard and Mary Bell Weeks Queen. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Queen.

Surviving are a son, Nolan Queen; a daughter, April Davis, and her husband, Rob; a bonus daughter, Samantha Postell; two brothers, James and Charles Queen; four sisters, Carolyn Prince, Magdalene Ward, Katherine Dyer and Frances Farist; and three grandsons, Austin Lawrence, Brady Silvers and Roman Davis.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews with Rev. Alan Wildsmith officiating.

Interment followed in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brady Silvers, Austin Lawrence, Jamie Queen, Danny Flowers, Josh Litchfield and Joe Wood. Honorary pallbearers were Roman Davis and Sam Thrasher.

The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday evening, September 16, 2021, at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.

Townson-Rose Funeral Home of Andrews was in charge of all arrangements.
