Lucille Hawkins

Lucille Ellen Hawkins, age 83, of Ducktown, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the Pruitt Health, of Blue Ridge.

She was born on July 16, 1938 in Beaver Dam, North Carolina, to the late Earl Dilbeck and Ethel Curtis Dilbeck. Lucille retired from Levi Strauss and Company as a seamstress. She was a member of Ducktown United Methodist Church. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Ray Hawkins; and sister, Dollie Jones.

Survivors are sons, Ray Hawkins, of Dacula, Georgia, and Alex Hawkins, of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Matthew Hawkins, of Ducktown, Amanda Cataldo, of San Diego, California, Kayla Shields, of Blue Ridge, Dakota Hawkins, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Macy Hawkins, of Blue Ridge; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alden and Nora Dilbeck, of Ducktown, and Dale and Geri Dilbeck, of Dawsonville, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Carrie Mae and Gerald Mize, of Marietta, Georgia, and brother-in-law, Buddy Jones, of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home, of Copperhill, Chapel with Rev. Jim Crews officiating.
