Mrs. Kay Elizabeth Causey, 76, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021, from natural causes.

She was residing in Willow Brook Skilled Nursing Facility in Park Point Village, Rock Hill, South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2021, in the Park Point Village Community Center. The service will be presided over by Senior Chaplain Randy Wright.

Before health issues took its toll on Kay, she lived a wonderful life. She loved to play piano, cook, sew and do needle point. She was an avid gardener and took pride in canning all the fresh vegetables from the season. She was an excellent cook and had an expansive collection of cookbooks. In her early years she sewed all the clothes she wore. She was extremely good at sewing, you couldn’t tell the difference between them and store bought. She also found time to have a storied career with AT&T where she spent the majority of her career working in Atlanta, Georgia.

She is survived by her stepdaughter, Janet Causey Karczewski; and stepson, Joseph Causey. She was preceded in death by her father, Farris White; mother, Irene White; her husband of 55 years, Gordon Causey Sr.; her stepdaughters, Cindy Causey Pate and Vickie Causey Williamson; and her stepson, Alfred Gordon (Skip) Causey Jr.

Kay was loved by all and had a large group of friends from and around the Park Pointe Village community.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Causey’s name to your local Alzheimer’s Association.
