Judy Abercrombie Williamson, age 63, of Young Harris, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021, at Union General Hospital.

Mrs. Williamson was born June 9, 1957, in Murphy, North Carolina, to the late Lake Emanuel Abercrombie and the late Thelma Ruth Turner Abercrombie. She was a member of Salem #2 Baptist Church, was a registered nurse serving in the area for over 30 years and was active in the church as long as her health would allow.

Judy had a beautiful alto voice and sang in the church choir, and on numerous occasions,  she would sing solos. She loved the beach and would vacation there as often as possible and collect lighthouses in remembrance of her trips.

She loved all babies and would hold them at every opportunity she encountered.

She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, the light of her life. Judy was a faithful wife to her late husband of 32 years, Ricky, a loving and supportive mother to her children and a very dear and devoted friend to many who knew her. Judy will truly be missed, but the memory of her will live on!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Williamson; father, Lake Emanuel Abercrombie; mother, Thelma Ruth Turner Abercrombie; and brother, David Abercrombie.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and ET Worajak; son, Adam Williamson; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Mary Jane Abercrombie; mother-in-law, Mary Williamson; granddaughters, Aubree and Nomanee Worajak; grandson, Emanuel Worajak; “bonus daughter,” Misty Struble; and many nieces and nephews.
