Jan Elizabeth Beavers, age 60, of Mineral Bluff, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia.

She was born March 20, 1961, in Copperhill to the late William Kenneth Tarpley and Madeline Elizabeth Ross Tarpley. Jan worked at Tarpley’s Store, owned by her parents in Mineral Bluff. She was baptized September of 1971 and was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist, where she played the piano and was the church clerk for over 25 years. Jan was a loving wife, mother and a granny not only just to her girls but to every child she met. She loved the Lord and helping others. Jan was loved by many and will be missed.

Survivors are her husband of 38 years, Chris Beavers of Mineral Bluff; son, William Kevin Beavers of Blue Ridge; granddaughters, Hope and Faith Beavers of Blue Ridge; mother-in-law, Bernice Lawson of Morganton; sister-in-law, Tammy Rogers of Morganton; brother-in-law, Brian Beaver of Morganton; uncle and aunt, Jerry and Cheryl Ross of Dawsonville, Georgia; special cousins, Bob Ross (Kathy) of Mineral Bluff, DeAnna “Dee” Brown of Mineral Bluff, Greg Barton (Pam) of Mineral Bluff, Melissa Kinard (Danny)of Charleston, South Carolina, Brad Ross (Staci) of Social Circle, Georgia, and Brian Ross; and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 2 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grady Ray officiating. Music was by Rev. Grady Ray, Shannon York, Tara Queen, Ava Queen and Junior Dillinger.

Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brad Ross, Caleb Ross, Bart Brown, York Brown, Bob Ross and Jerry Ross. In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorials donations may be made to the Morganton Baptist Association, 64 Tammen Drive, Blue Ridge, GA 30513. The family requested mask to be worn.
