George Bailey

Mr. George Howard Bailey, age 84, of Mineral Bluff passed away January 10, 2022 in the Fannin Regional Hospital.

He was born in Fannin County to the late James and Bertha Mull Bailey. Mr. Bailey retired from the Tennessee Chemical Company after a number of years working as a miner. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He along with his wife were long time members of the Salem #2 Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Lillian Harper Bailey of the home; children and their spouses, James C. and Teresa Bailey of Mineral Bluff, Jerry L. and Cindy Bailey of Pell City, Alabama, David M. and Sharon Bailey of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama, Donald H. Bailey of McCaysville, and Lisa J. Bailey Taylor and Todd Taylor of Blue Ridge; sister, Barbara Jean Henson of Conyers, Georgia; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, a private service was held with interment following in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
