Frank Padgett

Mr. Roy Franklin Padgett, age 74, of Mineral Bluff, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 3, 2021.

He was born October 18, 1946, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Fred Lee Padgett and Elizabeth Filipek Padgett. Frank was a member of Calvary Chapel.

He served in the United States Navy as a Seabee during the Vietnam War. Later, he worked and retired from Local #387, where he was an iron worker.

Frank was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved the Good Lord and his country. He never met a stranger and loved his family and friends.

Frank is survived by his wife, Benita Jean Butts Padgett; children and their spouses, Amber and Michael Suman, Lynsey and David Goodno, Roy Franklin Padgett Jr., Kimberly and Jeff Weaver and Christine Smith; grandchildren, Jason Padgett, Coleman Padgett, Eli Padgett, Sydney Suman, Leora Suman, Samantha Weaver, Keith Weaver, Libby West, Jacob Weaver, Carson Weaver and Jadiah Smith; great-grandchildren, Valerie, Madison, Raelynn, Kayden and Ella; and brother, Jake Padgett.
