Francis Marion Panter, 73, a resident of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020, at a hospital.
He was of the Christian faith and was very loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kimsey and Eva Jane Panter; sisters, Charlotte Griffin; half-brother, Cornelius Panter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nikki Ann Panter; children, Christopher Panter and wife, Cynthia of Harrison, Tennessee, Kevin Panter and wife, Paige of Cleveland, Laura Buchanan and husband, Chris of Fayetteville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Andrew Panter, Joshua Panter, Emily Shepard, Katie Panter, Maggie Buchanan and Clayton Buchanan; great-grandchildren, Copeland Panter, Nevley Panter, Karlee Shepard, Kanon Shepard, Kane Shepard, Kase Shepard; sister, Hilda Payne of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survived.
A celebration of life service was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2020, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brian Welch. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes concluded the service. Due to the national pandemic, the service will be live streamed on Ralph Buckner Funeral Home Facebook Page.
The family received friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
