Deborah Kay Smith, age 69, of Farner, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at her home.
Deborah was born August 14, 1952, in McCaysville, to the late Hoyt Ray Smith and Mary Louise Lynn Smith. She was of the Christian faith and attended Turtletown Church of God Prophecy. Deborah enjoyed watching her shows on the television and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She loved being around kids. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Danny Smith.
She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Cochran of Copperhill, Charlotte and Hank Morrow of Turtletown, Sandra and Darrell Clark of Cohutta, Georgia, and Vickie and Lee Garrett of Farner; as well as, many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted Friday, October 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Turtletown Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery with Rev. Sam Morrow officiating. Serving as pallbearers were James Cochran, Matthew Morrow, Brett Sims, Steven Ledford, Brady Silvers and Shannon Smith. The family visited with friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
