Cleaston Burger

Cleaston Burger, age 62, of Farner, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021, at his home. 

He was born in Ducktown, June 29, 1958, to the late Arvil Cleaston Burger and Ioma Farner Burger. 

Cleaston worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed softball, hunting and fishing. Cleaston was a member of Bethel Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Alicia Burger and Lori Burger; and niece, Mandy Evans Beasley.

Cleaston is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rose Burger of the home; daughter, Kaitlyn (Neil Logan) Prince of Farner; son, Chandler Ethan Burger of Farner; sister, Barbara (Hayes) Burger Kernea of Morganton; brother-in-laws, Brady (Dodie) Evans of Reliance, Tennessee, and Greg (Jennifer) Evans of Old Fort, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ethan Huskins and Constance (Christopher Phelan) Huskins; great-grandchildren, Caleb Phelan and Mila Phelan; nieces and nephews, Eric Davis, Gage Kernea, Tyler Evans, Ralph Evans, Dennis “Bubba” Evans; and granddog, Pepper.

The family observed Cleaston’s wishes to be cremated. A memorial service was conducted Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 6 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Weaver officiating. The family visited with friends at the funeral home following the service.
