Chuck Hedden

Charles G. “Chuck” Hedden, age 70, of Copperhill, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at his home.

He was born October 13, 1950, in Copperhill, to the late Winston and Mildred Ledford Hedden. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Chuck was a boilermaker for the Hydro-Chem Company. He loved Mount Harmony Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. He also enjoyed fly-fishing, hunting and has coached football since the 1970s. He was preceded in death by his parents, and great-granddaughter, Oakley Graham.

Survivors are his wife, Sandra Holder Hedden; sons and their spouses, Grayson and Wendy Hedden and Jeremy and April Hedden; daughters, Tara Trammell, and Tristan and Mason Galloway; sisters, Sandy and husband, Ralph Ensley, Sharon Crawford and Wendy Ledford; grandchildren, Caylie and Ben Graham, Mira Stephens, Kenslie Hedden, Gracie Hedden, Garrett Hedden, Raegan Hedden and Ethan Hedden; great-grandchildren Tanner Graham, Danner Hyatt, Beau Galloway and Parker Graham.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 5, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Mount Harmony Baptist Church with Reverend Timmy Joe Hemming and Reverend Jeremy Hedden officiating. Music was by April Hedden and Chuck’s grandchildren.

Interment followed in the church cemetery. The following gentleman were selected to serve as pallbearers: Mason Galloway, Jamey Ballew, Garrett Hedden, Danny Ballew, Buster Carr, Gary Carr, A.E. Loudermilk and Darren Loudermilk. Honorary pallbearers were Ethan Hedden and Marty Ledford.

The family received friends at the funeral home Sunday evening, July 4, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
