Benny Picklesimer

Benny Picklesimer, age 63, of McCaysville passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021, at his home. 

He was born February 22, 1957, in McCaysville to the late Harvey Allen Picklesimer and Ruby Ellen Walkey Picklesimer. 

He was a warehouse manager for Epic Enterprises. Benny was a dedicated member of Bethel Church for 31 years, where he served as the pianist and a deacon. He was a God-fearing man who used his musical talent to serve the Lord. 

Survivors are his wife of 35 years, T.C. Picklesimer of McCaysville; daughter, Whitley Picklesimer of McCaysville; siblings, Deborah Sue Parris (Ronnie) of Blue Ridge, Rev. Alan Pickelsimer (Johnie) of Mineral Bluff, Bobby Picklesimer of Chatsworth, Georgia, Carol Newberry (Larry) of Mineral Bluff, Kathy Whitener (Dennis) of Blue Ridge and Roger Picklesimer of Ducktown; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. 

Funeral service were conducted Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from the Bethel Church with Rev. Doug Payne and Rev. Brett Curtis officiating. Music was provided by Rodney Picklesimer, Rebecca Millsaps and Jeremy Payne. 

Interment followed in the Bethel Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rodney Picklesimer, Dylan Millsaps, Junior Whitener, Sam Parris, Trigg Parris and Jody Millsaps. Honorary pallbearers were the Deacons and Trustees of Bethel Church. 

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital at P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or stjude.org.
