The Fannin County Lady Rebels softball team earned their first region win over Model 9-2, Tuesday, August 13. Callie Ensley collected four hits in four at bats with hit a home run to center field in the sixth inning, doubled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning to lead the Lady Rebels.
Fannin opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two single and first got on the board when Myla Rogers singled, scoring two runs.
The Lady Rebels extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Natalie Herendon and Presley Daves.
Ensley homered to center field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth for the Fannin County Varsity Lady Rebels.
Herendon helped earned the win for Fannin. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.
The Lady Rebels collected 11 hits in the game. Rogers collected two hits in four at bats.
