The Fannin County High School track and field team competed Wednesday, March 13 at the Marist School against Marist and West Forsyth High School.
Head Coach Miranda Roof said, “By doing so, several of our athletes were able to go head-to-head with athletes who will be competing at the NCAA Division I level next school year.”
These athletes either placed in the Top 3 in their respective event(s) or set a personal record (PR) at this meet: Lindsey Holloway placed first in the 3200m Run, placed second in the 1600m Run, and is now ranked in the GA Top 50 (A - 7A) in the 1600m Run.
Annaleigh Cheatham set a PR in the 200m Dash, set a PR in Long Jump, and came in first place in Long Jump.
Karli Sams placed first in the 800m Run and set a PR in the 1600m Run.
Ava Acker set a PR and placed second in the 800m Run.
Sydney Ford set a PR in the 1600m Run.
Carlee Holloway set a PR in the 400m Run.
Halle Walton set a PR in the 300m Hurdles.
Kensley Pickelsimer set a PR in the 800m Run
Avery Collis set a PR in Triple Jump and Long Jump.
