Tennis team state bound

    The Fannin County High School tennis teams competed in the 7AA Region Tournament Tuesday, March 29, at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College.

    The men’s team will advance to the AA State Playoffs after their 4-1 win over Coosa High School.

    The team won again Wednesday, March 30, 4-1 against Pepperell to clinch the third seed for the playoffs.

    The women’s team ended their season finishing fifth in the region tournament.

    Anna Beth Minear won for the Lady Rebels, however the rest of the team’s efforts fell short.

    The AA State Playoff brackets and play dates are to be determined.
