The Fannin Rebels basketball team pocketed a huge 81-50 region victory over Armuchee High School, Saturday, December 7.
Hudson Ethington led the Rebels with 24 points.
The Rebels had a strong first half, leading 45-30 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory.
The third quarter was the best for Fannin as they outscored Armuchee 22-5. Ethington scored 12 points in the quarter.
The Rebels scored at will in the paint as they made 27 shots for two. The Rebels played well on the defensive end of the floor, blocking four shots and grabbing 15 steals, and the team controlled the paint, grabbing 46 rebounds. Keaton Watkins led the team with 11 rebounds. Ethington knocked down five shots for three for the Rebels. As a team, the Rebels passed the ball well with 20 assists on 34 made baskets. Kolton Kaylor led the team with six assists.
Scoring Rebels included Ethington with 24 points, Kaylor adding 16 points, Matthew Ponton and Brody Henson with 9 points each, Watkins adding 8 points, Jasper Mealer with 6 points, Jack Sparks with 3 points and Rylin Davis, Tyler Blake and Holden Eavenson all with a 2 point contribution.
