The Fannin County Rebels defeated region opponent Gordon Lee, 55-48, Tuesday, January 7, as Kolton Kaylor scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
Trailing 16-11 late in the first quarter, the Rebels went on a 10-point run to take the lead and had a strong first half, leading 27-23 at halftime.
The second quarter was the best for Fannin as they outscored Gordan Lee 14-7 and had four assists in the quarter.
Kaylor and Matthew Ponton both hit multiple three-pointers for the Rebels.
As a team, the Rebels controlled the paint, grabbing 32 rebounds. Kaylor led the team with 13 rebounds. They also passed the ball well with 12 assists on 20 made baskets.
Contributing towards the Rebel total score was Kaylor with 20 points, Ponton adding 10 points, Keaton Watkins and Hudson Ethington with nine points each, Cannon Holloway scoring three points and Jack Sparks and Brody Henson both adding two points.
