Rebels dominate Gordon Central

The Rebels baseball team took home two double-digit wins over Gordon Central (GC) Monday, April 3.

During the first game, Fannin outscored GC 12-1. Seven Rebels added those 12 runs over seven innings. Carson Callihan and Gaige Foster found home during the first. Then, Bryce Burnette scored during the second.

Gavin Davis manned the mound for the first five innings only allowing three hits and no runs from 17 batters.

During the third, Callihan hit a home run that added two runs as he and Burnette crossed home plate.

Burnette and Bryson Holloway added two more run for seven in the top of the fifth.

Cole Stevenson and Conner Martin both took the mound after the fifth and only allowed one run between them.

Lawson Sullivan, Colton Gray and Mason McDaniel scored the last five runs. Sullivan and Gray added two each and McDaniel crossed once.

GC added their one run in the bottom of the seventh  for a 12-1 ball game.

During the second game, the Rebels kept their momentum rolling as they took another win, 14-1.

Nine Rebels contributed to the 14 runs over five innings. Callihan, Foster, Martin and Davis all scored twice. Tucker Dockery, Carter Fox, Gray, Clay Heaton, Elijah Weaver all added one run.

Bristol Hughes held up the mound for the Rebels only allowing four hits and one run over five innings and 21 batters.
