The Fannin County High School Football team held their banquet Wednesday, January 11 at the Fannin County Recreation Department.
Many of the student athletes and student trainers received the academic award which was awarded to students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The following student athletes received the academic award: Taylor Collis, Logan Long, Cooper Hilliard, Jack Kantner, Nate Smith, Braxton Cheatham, Karson Brown, Cooper Born, Noah Burnett, Lawson Sullivan, Elijah Weaver, Brody Paskill, Bryson Holloway, Matthew Ponton, Slade Epperson, Cade Sands, Nate Maloof, Andrew Waldrep, Scott Waldrep, Aidia Galloway, Case Holloway, Carson Collis,Vince Foster, Jacob Dye, Conrad Head, Bryan Stiles, CJ Reece, Castle Barnett, Carson Callihan, Baylor Twiggs, Clay Heaton, Blake Heaton, Hunter Dickey and Bohn Postell.

Head Coach Chad Cheatham went on to recognized the Senior class as the “all-time winning class in Fannin County Football history with a record of 33 and 13, four State Playoff appearances, two Region Championships, two Sweet Sixteen appearances and one Elite Eight appearance.”
