The Lady Rebels posted a big 63-22 preseason win in a scrimmage against Hiwassee Dam Thursday, November 17.
Fannin County started off hot as the team earned 19 points in the first eight minutes. Courtney Davis found the back of the net with two three pointers and a quick two in the paint. Ellie Cook earned herself a two and went two-for-two at the free throw line. Reigan O’Neal put five in the book with a three and a layup, and Ava Queen earned two in the post.
During the second quarter, O’Neal had two two’s in the paint and three more from the free throw line. Cook posted six more with a three and three free throws. Queen got herself two more in the paint, and Avi Ethington found the back of the net from inside, adding two more to the Lady Rebels’ total. Hiwassee Dam had only posted six points at the half.
The Lady Rebels came out of half time hunting points as Davis put up five with a three and two free throws. Cook had a three and went five-for-five from the line, and Emma Buchanan put in two free throws. Riley Reeves went two-for-two from the line and Callie Ensley put in one. The Hiwassee Dam Lady Eagles mustered up five points in the quarter to the Lady Rebels’ 20.
Maggie Ledford’s three pointer swished, and Macy Hawkins and Reese Lewis were both able to earn two points in the paint to finish off the game.
