The Fannin Lady Rebels brought home a 65-32 victory over the Copper Basin Lady Cougars on the last day of the ETC Tipoff Tournament Tuesday, November 22.
During the first quarter, Courtney Davis and Ava Queen both earned the Lady Rebels seven points totaling a combined 14. Reigan O’Neal and Ellie Cook also got in the mix scoring three each. This gave the Lady Rebels 20 points at the end of the first quarter.
For the Lady Cougars, Kendra Deal found the back of the net with a three pointer. Sapporiah Ross, Alexis Hyatt and Riley Hall all earned two points in the paint adding up to nine for the first quarter.
The second quarter saw Reeves score seven with two twos and a three. Queen put in two baskets from the paint. O’Neal earned a layup and a free throw, and Davis put one in for two, tallying the total up to 36 for the Lady Rebels.
Hyatt was the only Lady Cougar to score during the second quarter. She hit a three and had a two, adding five more points towards the Cougar 14 to end the half.
The Lady Rebels came out of halftime hot. Davis found herself with a three and two twos. Reeves was hot from the free throw line making five for six along with another two. O’Neal made two threes for six points, and Macy Hawkins earned two in the paint.
Ross put in a two and two free throws during the third quarter for the Lady Cougars. Cora Kimsey earned three, with a two and a free throw. Hall and Zoe Green both put in a two, making the Cougar score 25 to the Rebel 58 at the end of the third.
During the fourth and final quarter, the Lady Rebels added seven more points. Hawkins and Callie Ensley both put one in for a combined four, and Emma Holloway swished from behind the three-point line.
The Lady Cougars also added seven more. Hyatt put in another three and a two, and Kimsey earned another two.
The final score was Lady Rebels 65 to the Lady Cougar 32.
